August 29, 2020 by namafit

There is a wide assortment of natural treatments to soothe your back. These methods and procedures can help you reduce the intake of medications.

Like all of us are different from each other, we have different needs of methods and treatments when it comes to back pain as well. So, you have to check out the ways I’m going to provide to find what works best for you!

Drink Anti-Inflammatory Beverages

Several antioxidants, anti-inflammatory, and even anti-cancer agents can build up in your blood when you consume anti-inflammatory foods regularly. These agents can play a significant role in reducing and/or eliminating inflammatory reactions in the body over some time.

Consuming these healthy drinks, regularly, may help reduce your back pain.

Tart Cherry Juice

Cherries are rich in antioxidants. Then there are anti-inflammatory agents in this as well. Cherry juice can help reduce muscle pain. Cherry juice is readily available to buy at grocery stores and commonly holds the tart cherry extract.

Ginger Green Tea

You can also try infused-herbal beverages, such as ginger-green tea, which includes the pain-relieving benefits of both green tea and ginger. Ginger-green tea bags can be bought from shops and stores. You can easily enjoy a cup both at work or at home.

Turmeric Milk

A secure method to consume turmeric is to mix a small quantity of turmeric powder in a glass of warm milk. You can combine honey or stevia to the milk if you fancy a sweet taste. Devour this drink, preferably just before bedtime, to support the anti-inflammatory process to work while you sleep

Sleep Faster and Longer

When you have a peaceful night’s sleep, your backbone will feel less sore during the day. And with a night of therapeutic sleep you can have healing advantages and make yourself feel renewed, restored, and less stressed.

Valerian

It is a supplement made from the root of the valerian plant. It may help you sleep faster and stay asleep longer. Which, in turn, will make you relieve the back pain.

Melatonin

The natural sleep hormone developed in your brain, melatonin, can be taken as a supplement to enhance your sleep cycle. It can help relieve you off of the heinous pain.

L-theanine

It is an amino acid found in tea leaves. It’s called L-theanine, and it may help some people feel comfortable and get better sleep.

Vitamins C and B6

These vitamins are the natural steroids in your body. They control your metabolism and promote good sleep as well. Supplements of vitamins B611 and C10 are known to help the body monitor and produce natural steroid hormones.

Avoid Static Posture

It is essential to pay heed to the joints and muscles of your spine and hip. Prevent tiredness and strains on these joints by following simple tips.

Rotate Activities

You can rotate your activities to avoid the same set of muscles and joints from getting over-fatigued. Take this for an example, if you have been working and standing for some time, you

might reconsider changing to a different activity, especially an activity where you can sit down. Then you can go back to standing once the muscles and joints have had a chance to unwind.

Avoid Excessive Sitting

Please, consider using a standing desk while you work. When you sit for a long duration, the stress on your spinal discs increases. Try and strive to get up every hour and walk a short-range to take the load off your back.

Check Your Posture

To do that, you can just your shoulder, neck, and back and whether they are aligned to prevent stresses on your spine. Unsupported, poor posture can lead to numerous problems in your back. It will increase or cause the pain in your back to overflow.

When you have a flare-up of symptoms, concede to less strenuous activities, such as reading a book, or crafting. Such actions can help divert your mind from the pain.

Use Red Light Therapy

Light therapy for back pain is one of the most exciting fresh treatments available today. It’s a painless, effective, and a completely natural solution.

The Science Behind It

Red light therapy, also called low-level laser therapy, is an unconventional method to manage pain caused by spinal disorders, osteoarthritis, muscle tears, and bone breaks.

Some instant relief comes from the soothing, gentle warmth of high-intensity red LED bulbs. The heat penetrates deeply, which relaxes the muscles.

Say, when you’re in pain, your muscles start to tense up and stay that way, which increases the perception of pain. Muscle relaxation makes the brain understand that everything is okay and that the danger is in the past. This relaxation technique helps to lower the perception of pain.

You can deliver a soothing warming effect with any light or even a hot bath. But, achieving intense and lasting pain relief depends on getting down to the cellular level. That, too, using a linear spectrum of light that’s known to have therapeutic properties.

Mindful Meditation

Meditation is an excellent way to improve concentration, release endorphins (feel-good hormones). So, through attentive reflection and meditation, you can master the way your body perceives pain.

So, don’t wait up and start practicing by finding a dark, quiet room and meditate for 5 to 10 minutes in the morning, every day. Also, try meditating before bedtime to enhance your meditative abilities.

In case you don’t like to meditate, try easy breathing exercises. These exercises and methods are only going to take 10 deep, slow breaths in a row. They are comfortable, and they won’t take a lot of your effort.

The Importance of Meditation in These Trying Times

April 13, 2020 by namafit

It’s a scary time to be alive right now, as the coronavirus continues to spread across the globe. With bad news coming in almost on a regular basis (and with no way to release that frustration due to social distancing), it’s easy to let the stress and anxiety compound. This makes meditation all the more crucial in these trying times, particularly as a way to take care of your mental health and help you survive what is shaping up to be the new normal for the foreseeable future.

Helping yourself to help others

While it’s important to be kind to one another and look out for our neighbors as much as possible, it’s equally important to extend that kindness to ourselves.

Meditation may seem like a small act in the face of everything else that’s going on, but taking care of yourself in this way can also provide you with a community of people who are also trying their best to keep calm amidst the chaos. This is why pop star Lizzo streamed a live meditation on Instagram a few days ago in lieu of her cancelled show. Her meditation session focused on helping people clear their minds in order to see the ways that they can help — “the one thing we will always have is togetherness,” she reminded her viewers.

Indeed, clearing your mind through meditation is crucial to help you sift through all the noise and see how you can incite positive change into your community. At the very least, it’s a lot better than refreshing your phone every other minute or so out of fear.

Making your practice sustainable

Since the madness won’t come to an end any time soon, it’s important to really make an effort to incorporate meditation as part of your daily routine. Our post entitled ‘4 Misconceptions About Meditation’ emphasizes that you can move around, sit comfortably, and even grab a drink of water while you meditate — what’s important is that you really focus on taking that time out for yourself.

If you’re someone who prefers to sweat it out when you’re stressed, meditation should be a very important part of recovery. While many people will turn to exercise as a way to de-stress, Parsley Health suggests that to beat brain fog exercise should also be accompanied with active tune-ins to provide your body that much-needed balance. Overworking your body may end up making you even more frazzled and exhausted in the long run. It’s especially important to listen to your body and give it the TLC it needs.

It’s also good to know that your body can benefit from a meditation break faster than you realize. As more and more people are looking to adopt remote work, business coach Shannon Houde highlights that sometimes having a three-minute reset is all you need to power through the rest of your day.

As mentioned at the beginning of the article, stressing yourself out and panicking won’t do you and your community any favors. The chaos all around us is something we have to take as a given; the question is, how will we deal with it? While we’re all figuring out how to adjust to what might be the new normal (at least for now), meditation can help give you that clear headspace that you sorely need.

Ideas For The Most Effective Job Titles – Namafit learning moments

August 1, 2019 by namafit

The best start to a great job post is writing an effective job title that will get the attention of the right candidates and entice them to apply to your job. If the title gets the viewer to click the job, then having an effective job description is the next important step in finding more great candidates.

Write a job title that clearly states what you are hiring for. It only takes a couple minutes to post a job on Namafit. We suggest a clear separate job post for every type of job your are looking to fill. For example, post “Looking for yoga teachers” and “Hiring front desk staff at fitness center” as separate jobs.

Namafit gets a lot of exposure for your jobs, so we suggest writing clear, specific job titles and descriptions that will make your ideal candidate’s eyes light up! Read on to see some examples of proven job titles and descriptions that have been working!

In analyzing jobs that get the most applications, we have found that job titles that clearly state the job are very effective. A job title like “Boot Camp Instructor” and “Vinyasa Yoga Instructor” get better than average number of applications. And an insider trick to make your job stand out even more is to use a lead-in like “Seeking…” or “Looking for…” at the beginning of the job.

Here are some suggested job titles that work well:

  • Now Hiring Front Desk Sales Person For Yoga Studio

Pecan Cranberry Granola

March 28, 2019 by namafit

This delicious snack is great in the morning, on a hike, or anytime. Makes about 8 cups.

Pecan Cranberry Granola
Delicious breakfast granola

Ingredients:

4 1/2 cups (18 ounces) oats (not instant oats)
1 1/2 cups coarsely chopped pecans
1/2 cup shelled, raw, unsalted pumpkin seeds
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons dried orange peel, or finely grated zest of 2 oranges
1/2 cup canola oil
1/4 cup maple syrup, preferably Grade A Dark Amber
1 cup dried sweetened cranberries

Directions:

  1. Position a rack in the center of the oven and preheat the oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Place the oats, pecans, pumpkin seeds, brown sugar, and dried orange peel in a large bowl. Stir to combine.
  3. Place the oil, maple syrup, and 1/2 cup of water in a small bowl and whisk to combine. Pour the oil mixture over the oat mixture. Stir to combine.
  4. Spread the granola on a roughly 12 by 17-inch rimmed baking sheet. Bake the granola until it begins to brown, about 25 minutes. Then stir it with a flat spatula. Let the granola continue to bake until it is golden brown, dry, and fragrant, 30 to 35 minutes longer. Stir the granola at least once more as it bakes and watch it carefully during the final minutes because it can burn quickly.
  5. Place the baking sheet on a cooling rack and let the granola cool completely. Add the cranberries and stir to combine. Transfer the granola to an airtight container. It can be stored at room temperature for up to 1 month or frozen for up to 3 months.
